15 opposition MPs suspended from the Parliament for disrupting the proceedings

On Thursday, fifteen opposition Members of Parliament (MPs) across various parties faced suspension from the remainder of the Winter Session for disrupting proceedings in the House. Out of these, fourteen belong to the Lok Sabha, and one is from the Rajya Sabha.

The suspended MPs from the Lok Sabha include Manickam Tagore, Kanimozhi, PR Natrajan, V K Shrikantam, Beni Bahan, K Subramanyam, SR Pratiban, S Venkateshan, and Mohammed Javed. Additionally, Derek O’Brien, a Trinamool Congress MP, is the sole member suspended from the Rajya Sabha.

The suspension followed intense protests by opposition MPs who were demanding a government statement regarding the breach of security in Parliament.
