3.5 Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Darrang, Assam

On Wednesday morning around 07:54:52 IST, Assam’s Darrang experienced an earthquake measuring 3.5 on the Richter Scale. The seismic activity occurred at a depth of 20 km in the Darrang region, with tremors being felt at a latitude of 26.55 and a longitude of 92.13.

The National Center for Seismology shared the details of the earthquake, stating, “Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.5 occurred on 17-01-2024 at 07:54:52 IST, Lat: 26.55 & Long: 92.13, Depth: 20 Km, Location: Darrang, Assam, India.” Due to the earthquake, Residents Feel Tremors as National Center for Seismology Reported.
