
Bhubaneswar : The health facilities will be further strengthened in the state. The state government will buy 70 more ambulances. Among the 70 ambulances, 30 are advance life support ambulances, while the remaining 40 are basic life support ambulances. These 108 ambulances will work outside the perimeter. That means this ambulance service will especially be provided to patients referred to BSKY.
While 108 ambulances only take patients to government hospitals, the new ambulances will also take patients to private hospitals affiliated to BSKY. The new ambulance will provide services to patients referred to private hospitals and will also be engaged in special events with VIP duties.
2 drivers will be hired for one ambulance. They will be paid 15 thousand rupees per month. 2 Emergency Medical Technicians, Helpers will also be recruited. Health and Family Welfare Department has written a letter to all Medical College Superintendents, CDMOs and PHOs.
