Israel-Hamas Conflict: 8 lakh Palestinians evacuated from northern Gaza

More than eight million Palestinians have been evacuated from the northern Gaza Strip amid in increasing Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Israel Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Jonathan Conricus made a claim to this effect. He said in a video address published on Twitter that it was a pleasure to see that more than eight million Palestinians have been evacuated from the northern Gaza Strip, the main war zone. He also said Israel would intensify efforts to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid to the south of the Gaza Strip.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said on Monday that more than 1.4 million civilians had been forced to flee their homes in the Gaza Strip since the fighting began.

It is noteworthy that on October 7, the Palestinian group Hamas launched a large number of rocket attacks against Israel from the Gaza Strip and violated the border. During that time, Hamas massacred and abducted people from neighboring Israeli communities on a large scale. Israel launched retaliatory attacks and ordered a complete blockade of the Gaza Strip, home to a population of more than 2 million people. Also the supply of water, food and fuel to Gaza was cut off. The blockade was later relaxed to allow humanitarian aid trucks to enter the Gaza Strip. Thousands of people were killed and injured as the conflict escalated.
