In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old girl from Bengaluru reportedly developed a hole in her stomach after consuming ‘smoke paan’ containing liquid nitrogen at a wedding reception. Soon after eating the smoke paan, the girl complained of intense stomach pain. She was taken to a doctor, who advised immediate surgical intervention to prevent further complications. The girl had developed a hole, measuring 4×5 cm, in her stomach.
The portion of the girl’s stomach with the hole was surgically removed via a sleeve gastrectomy. She was in intensive care for two days and was discharged from the hospital after six days.
In another recent incident, a video of a boy from Karnataka went viral. In the video, the boy can be seen screaming in pain after eating a ‘smoking biscuit.’
