On the occasion of the two-day ‘AI Safety Summit’ held in London, there was a conversation between British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak and Elon Musk, owner of social media handle X and CEO of Tesla.
During this ‘AI Safety Summit’ organized at Bletchley Park, Britain, there was a discussion between the two about the future of digital technology and AI. In this discussion, Elon Musk said an interesting thing. He said that in the future, humanoid robots, i.e. robots designed to do human work, will follow humans everywhere. He said that a time will come when people will not need to do jobs. Tesla CEO said that there will come a time when there will be discussion of Universal High Income instead of Universal Basic Income.

Elon Musk also compared AI with a magical genie. He said, Jobs will be available only to those people who want to do jobs for personal satisfaction. AI is like ‘a magical genie’ that fulfills any wish you have, Musk said, though he quipped that those fairy tales rarely end well. Musk cautioned that “we should be very concerned about humanoid robots that can follow you anywhere.”
