
A Jehovah’s Witness prayer meeting at a convention center in Kochi, Kerala, was bombed one after the other on Sunday. In this explosion, one person died and more than 36 were injured. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has gone into action mode after the blast.
He ordered the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and National Security Guard (NSG) teams to be sent to Kerala to start the investigation. At the same time, union Minister Amit Shah spoke to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan over the phone and is monitoring the situation in the state.
Police said that a prayer meeting of Jehovah’s Witnesses was held in Kalamassery area of Kerala’s Kochi district on Sunday morning. During this period there were several explosions. Kalamassery CI Bibin Das said that the first blast occurred at around 9 am and several blasts took place in the next hour.
