BJP Unveils Second List of Candidates for Lok Sabha elections

The Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) unveiled its second roster of Lok Sabha contenders on Wednesday, disclosing a total of 72 names. Preceding this announcement, the ruling party convened a central election committee meeting earlier in the week to deliberate upon approximately 99 constituencies spanning eight states. Notably, Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in this crucial meeting.

In the preceding week, the BJP had publicized its initial list comprising 195 candidates, prominently featuring figures such as PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, among others.

During Monday’s assembly, the discussion revolved around the allocation of seats in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka, and Chandigarh, encompassing a total of 99 electoral constituencies.
