Bribery Alligations Hunt Former Kolhapur Regional Officer Dilip Khedkar

The family of trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar finds itself mired in controversy as allegations and suspicions surface. Today, the police detained Pooja Khedkar’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, for questioning, which in turn brought attention to her father, Dilip Khedkar’s corrupt practices.

Dilip Khedkar, a retired administrative officer, has faced suspension twice due to corruption allegations. His suspensions occurred in 2018 and 2020. The corruption case first surfaced in 2015 when over 300 small businessmen lodged complaints against him. The businessmen accused Dilip Khedkar of harassment and demanding bribes.

In 2018, while serving as the Kolhapur Regional Officer, the local sawmill and timber traders’ association accused him of soliciting bribes ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 50,000 for providing electricity and water supply. Furthermore, in 2019, he was accused of demanding Rs 20 lakh from a company. Documents reveal that Dilip Khedkar took leave for 6 to 7 months without authorization from higher authorities.

Pooja Khedkar’s mother, Manorama Khedkar, faces serious accusations of possessing illegal weapons. Her detention today follows the viral spread of a video in which she is seen threatening a farmer with a gun.

In the light of revelations , the scrutiny on Pooja Khedkar has intensified . Allegations of fraud within the IAS have prompted authorities to examine her record closely. As the investigation continues, the extent of the involvement and the potential consequences for the Khedkar family remain uncertain.
