Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given a big gift to government employees and pensioners before Diwali. The cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) of central employees and pensioners. It has been increased from 42 percent to 46 percent. The dearness allowance hike was approved in a cabinet meeting held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Salary for the month of October is likely to be paid to central employees and pensioners along with increase in Dearness Allowance.
