In a heartwarming display of compassion, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has intervened to ensure the safe return of Uralidhar Mahakud’s body to his native village in Balasore, Odisha. Mahakud, a laborer from Sahapur village, had passed away in Mumbai while undergoing treatment.
Mahakud’s family, struggling financially, had appealed to the Chief Minister for assistance in bringing back the body. Majhi promptly responded, directing the Balasore district administration to provide immediate support. Acting on the Chief Minister’s orders, the district administration arranged for an ambulance to transport Mahakud’s body from Mumbai to Odisha. The body is expected to reach his village on Wednesday.
Majhi personally called Mahakud’s wife and daughter to express his condolences and offer support. He encouraged his daughter to continue her education, assuring her of his administration’s backing. The Chief Minister’s swift intervention has come as a relief to the grieving family, who were struggling to cope with the loss of their loved one. Majhi’s actions have demonstrated his commitment to supporting the people of Odisha in times of need.
