
Bhubaneswar: A new ford will be added in the history of Odisha football. The country’s first AIFF-FIFA Talent Academy will be inaugurated in Bhubaneswar. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will inaugurate it. FIFA Global Football Development Head Arsene Wenger, State Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Tusharkanti Behera and FIFA President Kalyan Chaubey will also be present in this event.
Winger and Chaubey have already reached Bhubaneswar. After they arrived at the Bhubaneswar airport, Sports Secretary R. Vinil Krishna welcomed both of them. The ongoing efforts of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to establish a global academy in the country is finally coming to fruition. After the announcement of AIFF, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik expressed his happiness.
The Chief Minister tweeted, “We are proud that ‘FIFA’ has chosen Bhubaneswar to open the first AIFF-FIFA Talent Academy in the country.” In this academy, the talented players of the country will be given an opportunity to develop their talents. The Odisha government is committed to the development of sports and we are working with the All India Football Association to provide the best facilities for football players,” said the Chief Minister.
