
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik marked a significant milestone today by inaugurating Odisha’s longest flyover and bridge while also laying the foundation stone for three developmental projects. The newly inaugurated 3-kilometer-long flyover in Joda, Keonjhar district, stands as Odisha’s longest, constructed at a cost of Rs 258.78 Crore. In a video conferencing event, CM Patnaik dedicated this infrastructure marvel to the people of Odisha.
Additionally, he inaugurated Odisha’s longest bridge spanning 3 kilometers over the Mahanadi River along the Athamallik-Dhalpur road, built at a cost of Rs 159.31 Crore. Among other infrastructure developments, he also inaugurated a 762-meter-long railway overbridge in Jatni, Khordha district, costing Rs 105 Crore, a 600-meter-long bridge over the Tel River on Rakdor-Fasad Road, and another bridge over the Mahandadi River on Boudh-Marjyakuda Link Road, costing Rs 45.84 Crore and Rs 71.59 Crore respectively.
Furthermore, CM Patnaik laid the foundation stone for the Achyutananda Peeth in Nemal, Cuttack district, the Maa Ugratara Shakti Peeth in Khordha district, and a bridge over the Mahanadi River on Baunsuni-Birmaharajpur Link Road in Boudh district. Addressing the significance of these projects, Patnaik emphasized their role in advancing tourism and infrastructure across the state, attributing their successful execution to the 5T framework.
Under the Integrated Development of Heritage and Monuments and Tourism Destination scheme, the renowned Harishankar Temple in Balangir district underwent a transformation, aimed at fostering economic growth for the locals and enhancing the tourism experience for visitors. Patnaik underscored the importance of preserving culture, stating it as the essence of a nation and a collective responsibility.
Expressing optimism about the spiritual and cultural significance of the newly initiated projects, Patnaik called for continued support from the people in Odisha’s journey towards empowerment and development. He urged everyone to collaborate in shaping a vibrant future for the state.
