Contaminated Tea Leaves Seized in Laxmanpur Raid

In a crackdown on food tampering, the Municipal Corporation Health Department has seized a large quantity of tainted tea leaves from various locations in the Laxmanpur area near Jagatpur, Cuttack. The raid, part of a broader eviction drive by the CMC enforcement team, uncovered a stash of impure tea leaves stored in a residential building. Equipment used for manufacturing the contaminated tea was also confiscated.

While the seizure is seen as a significant success, the identity of those behind the illicit operation remains unknown. The police are yet to apprehend the mastermind responsible for the repeated appearance of compromised food items in Cuttack, raising concerns about ongoing food safety and public health risks in the region.
