Dr. Vikas Divyakirti’s Drishti IAS Center Shut Down

In the wake of the tragic accident at Rao IAS Study Circle in Rajendra Nagar, which claimed the lives of three students, the authorities have cracked down on several IAS coaching centers in the area. Drishti IAS Coaching Center, founded by renowned mentor Dr. Vikas Divyakirti, has been sealed by the authorities.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti, a well-known figure in the UPSC coaching circuit, had been running Drishti IAS Coaching Center in Vardhman Mall, Rajendra Nagar. The center had been operating without proper clearance, prompting the MCD to write to the DDA nine times seeking information on its activities. On July 27, three students died in a tragic accident at Rao IAS Study Circle, located in the same area, due to water accumulation in the basement. This incident has raised concerns about the safety and regulation of IAS coaching centers in the area.

Dr. Vikas Divyakirti, born on December 26, 1973, in Haryana, is a renowned mentor for UPSC aspirants. He has a Ph.D. in Hindi Literature from Delhi University and has cleared the UPSC Civil Service Examination in 1996. He founded Drishti IAS Coaching Center in 1999 after resigning from his government job. The sealing of Drishti IAS Coaching Center is part of a larger crackdown on IAS coaching centers in Rajendra Nagar, which is known for its high concentration of UPSC coaching centers. The authorities are taking steps to ensure that these centers operate safely and within regulatory frameworks.
