Elon Musk to Launch Xmail, Challenging Gmail Dominance

Elon Musk, having already introduced his own version of ChatGPT called Grok, now appears poised to challenge the popular email service Gmail, owned by Google. The CEO seems to be in the process of developing his own email service, tentatively named Xmail, aligning with the branding of his microblogging platform X (previously known as Twitter).

Reportedly, Musk hinted at the forthcoming product, Xmail, during an interaction on the X platform. However, specific details about Xmail remain scarce, including its release date, though it is anticipated to be integrated within the X app.

The revelation emerged following a post by Nate, an engineer at X, inquiring about the development of Xmail. Musk casually responded, indicating its imminent arrival, which suggests a progression toward his broader goal of transforming X into a comprehensive “everything app.” It is speculated that Xmail could potentially be developed by xAI, Musk’s company established in 2023, which previously introduced Grok, a chatbot integrated into the X platform.
