Encounter at Malkangiri-Chhattisgarh Border: One Naxal Killed, Jawan Injured

Security forces engaged in a fierce encounter with Naxals near Jindalguda, along the Malkangiri-Chhattisgarh border (MM V-79). The exchange of fire left one Naxal dead, while bullets struck a jawan twice in the leg, injuring him. Doctors have stabilized his condition after admitting him to the hospital.

The operation began after security forces received intelligence from Goinda Sutra about Naxals crossing the river into Malkangiri. Acting swiftly, the troops launched a search operation in the area. The Naxals, attempting to evade detection, opened fire on the security personnel. The forces retaliated effectively, leading to the death of one Naxal and injuries to the jawan.

Following the clash, the Naxals fled the area, abandoning their positions. Undeterred, the security forces continued their search operations to ensure the region’s safety.
