A truck carrying cement fell 30 feet down the road near Bariha Pita village in Daspalla police station, Nayarhat district, resulting in a fatal accident. The truck, which was travelling from Visakhapatnam to Sundergarh, plunged while crossing a culvert. The driver, Boneshan Chau, was trapped inside the vehicle and died on the spot due to prolonged compression.
Rescue teams arrived at the scene and used cutters to extricate the body from the truck. Despite their efforts, the driver could not be saved. Boneshan Chau was identified as the victim, and he was a resident of Jhilodi village in Koderma district, Jharkhand. The Daspalla police have initiated an investigation into the accident to determine the cause.
