A horrific accident occurred on the Yamuna Expressway in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh when a double-decker bus collided with a truck. The crash claimed five lives and left more than 15 people injured.
The private double-decker bus, travelling from Delhi to Azamgarh with passengers, lost control on National Highway No. 56 and slammed into a truck from behind. The impact was so intense that the front part of the bus was completely crushed. Among the victims, three men, a woman, and a 5-month-old baby were killed. Rescue teams had to use cutters to remove the bodies trapped inside the bus.
Over 15 passengers sustained injuries, and the police rushed to the scene, rescuing the injured and transporting them to Jewara Kailash Hospital. Five to six of the injured are in critical condition. The bodies have been sent for autopsy.
The tragic accident caused significant traffic congestion on the national highway, but police later cleared the jam. Authorities confirmed that the bus was carrying travelers when the accident occurred.
