Floodwaters Expose Infrastructure Failure

Heavy rainfall in the region has caused widespread disruption, and floodwaters in the Lakshmijora river have washed away a temporary bridge on the road to Khujenpali Baba Monastery. Over 1500 people, including school-going students, are now stranded due to the incident. The temporary bridge was meant to serve as a solution until the new bridge, still under construction, is completed.

Locals are blaming developers for the delay , citing negligence and lack of urgency in completing the project. The washing away of another clay pole near the under-construction bridge has raised further questions about the quality of work being done. Residents are urging authorities to take immediate action to restore connectivity and ensure their safety.

Authorities must prioritize the completion of the new bridge to prevent further disruptions. The incident highlights the need for timely infrastructure development and effective disaster management in the region. By taking proactive measures , authorities can mitigate the impact of natural disaster and ensure the well-being of residents .
