A dense fog led to a devastating road accident in Bijnaur, Uttar Pradesh, claiming seven lives, including a newlywed couple. Before they could begin their new life together, a fatal crash ended their journey.
The tragedy unfolded early this morning when a speeding car rammed into an auto on the Dehradun-Nainital National Highway. The auto carried six family members returning from Jharkhand after a wedding. After travelling by train to Moradabad, they headed to their village, Tibadi, by auto.
The collision killed six people instantly, including four men, two women, and a minor. The critically injured auto driver succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
The car driver and another passenger suffered injuries and are undergoing treatment at a medical centre. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the accident.
The tragedy has left the community in shock, as an entire family’s joy turned into unimaginable grief.
