Health Minister Big Promise In Assembly

Health Minister Mukesh Mahaling announced in the state assembly that medical colleges will be established in all districts, as guaranteed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

During the motion of thanks to the Governor’s speech, Mahaling also addressed the long-pending issue of implementing the Pesa Act, which has been pending for 24 years. He assured that the government will take steps to implement the Act for the benefit of tribal communities.

However, the assembly session was marred by protests and noise as the opposition Biju Janata Dal and Congress created a ruckus over the issue of Odia Asmita. The situation escalated when Dhruv Sahu, a member of the opposition, broke the speaker’s microphone, demanding action against the Governor’s son.

The house has been adjourned till 10:30 am tomorrow due to the unrest. The Health Minister’s promise to establish medical colleges in all districts is expected to improve healthcare infrastructure and access to medical education in the state. However, the opposition’s protests highlight the ongoing tensions and disagreements within the assembly.
