A fire occurred at Maharani Laxmibai Hospital in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Last night, 10 newborns died due to a fire in the pediatric ward. The death toll is expected to rise. About 16 people are seriously injured in this accident. The fire is suspected to have started from a short circuit.
The first fire broke out in the hospital’s NICU last night. Hospital staff immediately broke the window and rescued the patient. It was reported that the fire broke out at around 10:35 pm yesterday. However, as soon as the fire broke out, 37 people in the pediatric ward were immediately shifted.
Out of the 2 pediatric wards in the hospital, there was a fire in one ward. The fire broke out after much effort when the Damascus forces arrived immediately.
