Heavy rain alert in some parts of Odisha…

Bhubaneswar: The cyclone formed in the south-west of the south-east Bay of Bengal has turned into a low pressure area. By the next 23rd, it is likely to become more condensed and turn into precipitation. Bhubaneswar Regional Meteorological Center has informed about this. As a result of this, it is predicted that there will be rain in some districts of Southern Odisha including the coastal areas.

According to the information of the Meteorological Department, light rain is likely to occur in coastal Odisha like Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Ganjam and Gajapati on the 24th. The amount of rain will increase on 25th. It will rain in Ganjam, Gajapati, Koraput, Malkangiri, Angul, Dhenkanal and Nayagarh districts including coastal Odisha. There is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rain especially in some districts of coastal Odisha. At this time, the wind will blow at a speed of 50 to 60 km per hour. Even on land, it is likely to touch 70 km. As the sea is likely to remain rough during this time, fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea. It has been informed by the department that the rainfall will first face Andhra Pradesh and then change its direction and move towards North Odisha and West Bengal.
