Due to persistent rainfall in Tamil Nadu, several districts, including Nagapattinam, Kilvelur Taluk, Viluppuram, Cuddalore, Ranipet, Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, and Kallakurichi, have declared a holiday for schools and colleges on Monday. The forecast suggests the likelihood of continued heavy rainfall in southern districts on January 9 and 10.
