
Bhubaneswar : Low pressure in the Bay of Bengal is taking the form of deep precipitation. Bhubaneswar Meteorological Center has estimated heavy rain in Puri, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Balasore districts. Instead of that, rain is expected in more than 20 districts today due to low pressure forming over the southeast western central Bay of Bengal. Wind speed will be 50 to 70 km per hour. Fishermen have been restricted to go to the sea till the 17th.
The depression will take the form of a deep depression and move in the west-northwest direction. Later, it will move in the northwest direction and it is likely to face West Central-Bay of Bengal coast and take the form of heavy rainfall today. Again, it will change its direction and move in the north-north-east direction and it is likely to face the coast of Odisha in the north-west Bay of Bengal on the 17th.
Under the influence of low pressure, heavy rain is likely to occur in various parts of the state today and tomorrow. Today moderate rain may occur in some places in Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Ganjam, Kendrapara, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Khurda, Jajpur, Balasore, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada districts. Heavy rain is likely to occur in Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal and Kendrapara districts along with Balasore and Bhadrak districts from the 17th.
