Israel-Hamas agreed to Ceasefire, 50 captives to be released in 4 days

Israel and Hamas have reached an agreement for a ceasefire this morning and it was approved by Israel’s cabinet, The Times of Israel reported.

The report mentions that the Prime Minister of Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu, has finalized the agreement by holding extensive and intensive meetings with the government. According to the agreement, there will be a 4-day ceasefire, during which Hamas will release 50 Israeli citizens who have been held hostage.

38 Israeli ministers have supported this agreement. However, this agreement has been opposed by the extremist groups ‘Ajma Yahtid’ and ‘Religious Zionism’.

It is to be noted that the details in this regard will be published in the ‘public domain’ shortly. However, the Israeli government said that the Hamas group will release 12 to 13 prisoners every day. In return, Israel will release some female and juvenile prisoners.

Israel’s security agencies, the IDF, the Shin Bet and the Mossad supported the agreement, The Israel Times reported. Notably, this will be the first ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war that began on October 7.
