Kanpur Police Arrest Coaching Center Teachers for Sexual Harassment

Two teachers from a prominent coaching centre in Kanpur have been arrested for allegedly blackmailing and abusing a minor student preparing for the NEET medical entrance exam. Biology teacher Sahil Siddiqui and chemistry teacher Vikas Porwal exploited the student’s vulnerability, leaving her traumatized.

Siddiqui initiated the abuse by inviting the student to his home under the pretext of a party, where he forced her to consume alcohol and recorded compromising footage. He then used the video to blackmail and repeatedly molest the student, confining her to his flat for several days. Porwal also joined Siddiqui in the exploitation. The student’s ordeal continued until she gathered the courage to file a complaint after another video of Siddiqui assaulting a different student went viral.

Kanpur police swiftly responded to the complaint, arresting Siddiqui and Porwal on Friday. Authorities confirmed the student was a minor at the time of the incident. The coaching centre’s management has yet to comment on the allegations. This disturbing case highlights the need for increased vigilance and accountability within educational institutions. Investigations are ongoing.
