Kejriwal’s Wife Raises Concerns Over Central Government’s Actions

Sunita Kejriwal, spouse of Delhi’s Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, expressed serious reservations on Wednesday regarding the actions undertaken by the central government, alleging that they are designed to undermine the well-being of Delhi’s inhabitants. Despite her husband’s efforts, notably his recent correspondence with Water Minister Atishi regarding water and sewerage issues in the city, the central government has initiated legal action against him, leaving Sunita questioning the government’s intentions and their impact on Delhi’s residents. She emphasized the anguish felt by Arvind Kejriwal amidst these challenges, indicating a profound sense of frustration and disillusionment with the ongoing legal confrontations.

During a media briefing, Sunita Kejriwal remarked, “Two days ago, Arvind Kejriwal sent a letter to Water Minister Atishi regarding the water and sewer problems in Delhi. The central government filed a case against him. Do they want to destroy Delhi? Do they want the people to keep suffering? Arvind Kejriwal is very pained by this. In the so-called liquor scam, ED has conducted more than 250 raids. They are searching for the money of this so-called scam. They have found nothing yet.”

Additionally, Sunita Kejriwal addressed the allegations surrounding an alleged liquor scam, disclosing that despite over 250 raids conducted by the Enforcement Directorate (ED), no evidence of wrongdoing has been uncovered. She affirmed that Arvind Kejriwal is ready to confront these accusations in court on March 28, where he intends to provide clarity and present evidence regarding the alleged scam.

On Tuesday, the AAP staged demonstrations over the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, with party leaders and supporters attempting to march towards the prime minister’s residence before being intercepted, while the BJP organized counter protests demanding the resignation of the Delhi chief minister.
