Khedkar’s Candidature Cancelled Amid Controversy

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has taken severe action against trainee IAS officer Pooja Khedkar, who has been embroiled in controversy, by canceling her candidature and barring her from appearing in any future examinations. The decision comes after a thorough examination of documents, which found Khedkar guilty of violating the provisions of the CSE-2022 rules.

Khedkar, a 2023 batch trainee IAS officer, is accused of misusing the Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Divyang quota to pass the UPSC CSE exam. An FIR has been filed against her, and she has been issued a show cause notice for canceling her selection.

The UPSC had earlier indicated that action would be taken against Khedkar if she was found guilty. A Delhi court is expected to pronounce its verdict on her anticipatory bail plea on August 1.
