Expelled from the Indian National Congress (INC), Acharya Pramod Krishnam launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Rahul Gandhi during a speech in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh. Accusing Rahul Gandhi of being the sole reason behind the downfall of the Congress, Krishnam asserted that as long as Rahul remains in the party, its demise is inevitable.
Describing Rahul Gandhi as a “mad person,” Krishnam dismissed his statements, suggesting they shouldn’t be taken seriously. He also criticized the treatment of Priyanka Gandhi within the party, asserting that despite her popularity, she lacks respect and significant responsibilities.
Regarding Mayawati’s decision to contest elections independently, Krishnam attributed it to her recognition of the prevailing pro-Modi sentiment among the populace. He likened the current state of Congress to a sinking ship, with Rahul Gandhi as its captain, driving away supporters and suffocating senior members.
Expelled from Congress in February 2024 following repeated criticisms of the party, Krishnam’s reaction was swift. Posting his response on social media, he compared his expulsion to Lord Ram’s exile, questioning the party’s actions against his devotion to Ram and the nation.
Despite facing insults from the Congress, Krishnam pledged to uphold his promise to the late Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, vowing to remain loyal to the party. He expressed dissent over certain party decisions, such as supporting statements against Sanatan Dharma and not endorsing the repeal of Article 370 and Triple Talaq by the Modi government.
Krishnam’s involvement in events like the Ayodhya Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha alongside PM Modi highlighted his divergence from the Congress stance, especially evident when he criticized opposition leaders for skipping the ceremony despite receiving invitations.
