Rayagada district has gained new access in the field of healthcare: Medicines carried by drones in remote areas

Rayagada: Odisha is always works towards the progress of health facilities. So now Rayagada district is going to get new access in the field of healthcare. As the first district in the state, life-saving medicines will be transported by drone. Medicines have been sent from Rayagada to Gudari Hospital for testing purposes. Its main goal is to save patients from wasting time and expense.

A healthcare drone delivery network has been launched in partnership with leading startups such as RedWing in the premises of the Chief Medical and Public Health Officer’s office in Barijhola. It was inaugurated by Minister of Scheduled Castes and Community Development, Minorities and Law Jagannath Saraka as the chief guest. This drone has the capacity to carry medicines weighing 1 kg 500 grams. Today, this drone has reached the 45 km Gudari Hospital in just 35 minutes. It is said that this will save the patients and their relatives from high costs and time wastage.
