Miss Universe 2023: Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua

In the 72nd ‘Miss Universe’ beauty pageant held at the Jose Adolfo Pineda Arena in San Salvador, El Salvador on November 19, Sheynnis Palacios of Nicaragua won the ‘Miss Universe 2023’ crown.

She was crowned by Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel of USA. Sheynnis Palacios is the first woman from Nicaragua to win Miss Universe.

This year, Nicaragua, Australia and Thailand have been placed in the top 3 places in this competition. In this competition, Thailand’s Antonia Porsild has been announced as the first runner-up and Australia’s Moraya Wilson as the second runner-up.

Similarly, Shweta Shraddha from Chandigarh, who competed from India, made it to the semi-finals and was among the top 20. However, she failed to make it to the top 10 in the ‘Swim Suit’ round.

It is worth noting that for the first time this year, Pakistan also participated in the ‘Miss Universe’ competition. In this year’s competition, contestants from 84 countries and regions competed with each other. The pageant was presented by American television personality Jeanie Mai, ‘Miss Universe 2012’ Olivia Culpo and American television presenter Maria Minounos.
