
A short voter list revision program was conducted from October 27 to November 11. According to the data obtained from this, a total of 5 lakh 51 thousand 237 new voters have been included in the state.
The largest number of new voters have joined in Khurda district. Cuttack district is lagging behind. 45 thousand 398 new voters have been included in Khurda district while 44 thousand 732 new voters have been included in Cuttack district. Similarly, 41 thousand 513 people have been added in Balangir district, 39 thousand 297 people in Ganjam district, 31 thousand 6 people in Balasore district and 23 thousand 682 new voters in Bargarh district. However, Boudh has received the least number of new voters. 4 thousand 610 new voters have been added in Boudh. On the other hand, 1 lakh 87 thousand 405 people have been excluded from the revised voter list. The final voter list will be published on January 5.
