The no-confidence vote against NAC Chairman Mukesh Aggarwal took place today . The motion, which targeted BJP Mayor Mukesh Aggarwal, was influenced by the current political dynamics in Junagadh NAC, where the BJP holds a majority with 10 out of 12 councilors. This scenario heightened the risk of Aggarwal losing his position.

Aggarwal faced allegations of disregarding council decisions and committing various irregularities. The no-confidence motion was filed with the Kalahandi District Magistrate on July 16. Following the petition from the Junagadh NAC council, led by the Vice President, the District Magistrate scheduled the vote for August 1.
