Nandankanan Zoo welcomes new arrivals. In a recent exchange with Nehru Zoological Park, Hyderabad, Nandankanan Zoological Park received various animals and birds.
The arrivals include Sarus cranes, Spoonbill birds, Mouse deer, Bonnet macaques, Russell’s vipers, and Red sand boas. Additionally, rare species such as golden pheasants, unique crocodiles, and deer have joined the collection. A 17-member team from Hyderabad facilitated the exchange and brought these animals to Nandankanan.
Earlier, Nandankanan also welcomed two Hoolock gibbons and two leopard cats from Itanagar Zoo in Arunachal Pradesh as part of a translocation initiative.
