NITI Aayog Introduces Digital Governance Platform and Strategy Hub

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw unveiled NITI Aayog’s digital public infrastructure, ‘NITI For States’, aimed at enhancing policy and governance. Additionally, Vaishnaw inaugurated the ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ within NITI Aayog, which facilitates visualization and engagement with insights for effective decision-making.

The platform integrates a diverse range of resources, including 7,500 best practices, 5,000 policy documents, over 900 datasets, 1,400 data profiles, and 350 NITI publications, spanning across 10 sectors and two cross-cutting themes of gender and climate change.

Government officials will benefit from access to contextually relevant knowledge and insights, thereby improving the quality of their decision-making processes. Moreover, district collectors and block-level functionaries will be empowered with access to innovative best practices from various states and Union Territories.

The ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ offers an interactive space where users can visualize data, trends, best practices, and policies, facilitating a comprehensive assessment of problem statements. Furthermore, users can engage with voice-enabled AI and connect with multiple stakeholders through video conferencing.

The initiative has received collaborative support from various government organizations, including iGOT for skill training, NITI Aayog’s National Data and Analytics Platform (NDAP) for accessing datasets, National E-Governance Division (NeGD) for developing the strategy room, and Bhashini for multi-lingual support. Additionally, the PM Gatishakti BISAG-N team, with support from DPIIT, has integrated geospatial tools for area-based planning.
