X says the subscription is part of the company’s ‘No Bot’ program and allows users to prove they are a bot. Apart from this, new web users from these countries have to make mandatory verification of their account with phone number
According to Bloomberg report, Elon Musk has started testing the Not a Bot feature on X. Its testing has currently been started in New Zealand and Philippines. Where new X users cannot use X without paying an annual fee. Without this fee you will not be able to post, like, comment and bookmark on X.
In a post, X wrote, this is an important step to reduce and stop spam and bot activity. Recently it was revealed that Elon Musk will ask new users to pay and the platform will not be used without paying certain fees and now the changes related to this have started to appear.
“This will evaluate a potentially powerful measure to help us combat bots and spammers on X, while balancing platform access with smaller fee amounts,” according to the blog post. “Within this test, existing users are not affected.”
Elon Musk had acquired For which he has discovered new ways of revenue. According to Bloomberg report, since the acquisition, Elon Musk has to pay interest of about 1.2 billion per year for X. In such a situation, to find new sources of income, premium services were started on X, for which users have to pay $7.99 per month.
