
Bhubaneswar: The State Children’s Festival ‘Suravi’ has been organized by the School and Mass Education Department on the occasion of Children’s Day. The program is being held on the campus of Unit-9 Boys High School from Tuesday to Thursday i.e. from 14th Nov to 16th Nov. Winners of various competitions in blocks and districts will participate in this festival. The theme for Suravi 2023 is ‘Nutrition for Education’.
More than 2 thousand students will participate in it. The main attraction of the three-day festival will be the ‘Aspirational Pavilion’. Aspirational courses and club programs launched in the school will be showcased in this pavilion.
Students, teachers and the audience can see the various innovative measures taken under the 5-T school transformation. Various state level competitions will be organized on this occasion. Winners of various competitions from the districts will participate in these competitions and showcase their talents. The award giving ceremony will be held along with the closing ceremony of the Festival.
School and Mass Education Minister Sudam Marndi, Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, MLA Anant Narayan Jena, Sushant Kumar Raut and Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena were present the inauguration ceremony of Survi. On the second day of the festival, students are scheduled to visit Khandagiri, Udayagiri, Dhauligiri, Nandankanan, Art Land, Regional Science Centre, Ethnic and Tribal Museum, Pathani Samantha Planetarium and Museum of Natural History.
