
India won the first semifinal match which was played between India and New Zealand today at the Wankhede stadium, Mumbai.
By winning the toss India choose to bat first. Batting first, India put a huge target of 398 run before New Zealand. Chasing to that huge score, New Zealand only able to scored 327 run and lost all its wicket in 48.5 over.
Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer scored centuries for India, while Shubman Gill retired hurt on 79 as India finished their innings on 397-4. Virat Kohli created history , as he surpassed legendary cricket Sachin Tendulkar with 50th ODI century. He also became the second Indian batter to have a World Cup 100 against New Zealand after Sunil Gavaskar.
