ODI World Cup 2023: India to face Bangladesh today

India will face Bangladesh in its fourth match of ongoing ODI ICC Word Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma’s team, which is confident after defeating Australia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, now has to face the challenge of Bangladesh. The Indian team is certainly in strong form and is already in ready to make it 4-0 in the World Cup. The India vs Bangladesh match is all set to take place today, October 19th at MCA Stadium in Pune. The will start at 2PM IST.

India are one of the two teams, except New Zealand, in the tournament that have not yet lost a match so far. They are at number 2 on the points table with 3 wins in 3 matches and a net run rate (NRR) of +1.821.

With a big innings from Rohit, Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli, India will surely put up a huge score and put pressure on Bangladesh. Despite starting the campaign from scratch, Rohit Sharma has dominated by scoring 86 against Pakistan and 131 against Afghanistan. India will also hope to continue this as they are at the top of the points table with 3 wins from total match of 3. Gill, who missed the first two matches due to dengue, scored just 16 runs from 4 overs against Pakistan. Now Gill needs a big session to gain full confidence. Shreyas Iyer is also confident after scoring an unbeaten half against Pakistan.

India have played 40 ODIs so far with Bangladesh and won 31 of those. One of the matches had no results while Bangladesh won 8 of those. But, every time Bangladesh won against India, it is considered an upset. Bangladesh have improved their game tremendously over the years. In fact, they won 3 out of the last 4 matches against India.
