
On Monday, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik announced an increase in the monthly remuneration for Urdu teachers in Odisha. According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the government has raised the monthly remuneration for Urdu teachers serving in Upper Primary, Middle English, and High Schools in the state from Rs 7,400 to Rs 15,000. The Odisha government has employed Urdu teachers on a contractual basis in schools where a minimum of 10 students have selected Urdu as their primary language.
The Chief Minister’s Office stated that approximately 44 Urdu teachers stationed at Upper Primary and Middle English schools, along with 40 Urdu teachers in High schools, will benefit from this remuneration increase.
