Odisha Government to transform 1858 hospitals under ‘Ama Hospital’ scheme

Bhubaneswar: The picture of healthcare in the state will change. 1858 hospitals of the state will be renovated and improved under the ‘Ama Hospital’ scheme. The work will be completed within 5 years under 5-T.

State government is planning something new and innovative before election. The government has started Ama hospital scheme like Mo school, Mo college scheme. 1858 hospitals of the state will be changed under this Mo hospital scheme.

Under 5-T, the infrastructure of government hospitals will be developed. Better health care facilities will be provided to the patients in a friendly environment. A display board will be used to provide information. The name of the respective patient will be called on the microphone whose number comes. Patients do not have to visit the hospital unnecessarily for laboratory reports. The lab report will be sent to the patients through WhatsApp and E-mails. Government hospitals will shine under 5-T which has been decided in the cabinet. 3 thousand 388 crore 73 lakh rupees will be spent in this plan between 2023 and 2028. In the first year i.e. between 2023 and 2024, 149 hospitals will be transformed.

From the primary hospital to the district head hospital, all the medical centers will be upgraded in a phased manner. In addition, approval has been received for the expenditure of 5 thousand 929 crore 38 lakh rupees for the Bhubaneswar metro project. The work of this project is likely to start from January. Along with this, 12 proposals have been approved by the Cabinet yesterday.
