The state cabinet made a significant decision regarding the Subhadra Yojana. Women who apply for the scheme by March 31 this year will receive the remaining two instalments in 2024. The cabinet made this announcement after its meeting yesterday.
Chief Administrative Secretary Manoj Ahuja stated that the deadline for Subhadra Yojana applications for 2024-2025 is set for March 31. All applicants will receive two instalments under the scheme.
Currently, over 1 crore 6 lakh applications have been registered under Subhadra Yojana, with 80,29,7421 applications (from beneficiaries of the Food Security Scheme) approved. The first instalment of ₹5,000 has already been disbursed.
The remaining applications, from non-beneficiaries of the Food Security Scheme, are still pending. The cabinet has not yet fixed a deadline for the financial year 2024-25, but it has now confirmed that Subhadra registration for that period must be completed by March 31.
Additionally, the cabinet approved an increase in the allowance for beneficiaries aged 80 and above, and those with 80% or more disability under the Madhubabu Bhatta Yojana and the National Social Security Program. The allowance will be raised to ₹3,500 and will be implemented from this month.
In a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, the cabinet also approved 9 major proposals from various departments. Among them, the cabinet sanctioned ₹874.14 crore to provide employment and loans to agricultural entrepreneurs over the next five years.
