
The Central Government has announced to observe August 23 as ‘National Space Day’ as because India succeeded in landing of ‘Chandrayaan-3’ on the surface of the moon on this day.
Prime Minister Modi has already made the announcement about this National Space day on August 26 while addressing ISRO scientists. However to officially confirm this, a notification in this regard has also been issued by the central Government today.
In a further notification from the Department of Space, it is said that on August 23, India succeeded in landing ‘Chandrayaan-3’ on the surface of the moon. India became the fourth nation to land on the moon and the first country to land on the south pole of the moon. The results of this historic mission will benefit mankind for years to come.” . So, to remember this, every year on August 23, ‘National Space Day’ will be celebrated.
India’s Chandrayaan-3 made a soft landing on the South Pole of the Moon on August 23. On August 26, Prime Minister Modi addressed ISRO scientists and said that August 23 should be celebrated as ‘National Space Day’. At the same time, he said that the place where Chandrayaan-3’s ‘moon lander’ landed on the lunar surface will be named ‘Shivashakti’, and the place where ‘Chandrayaan-2’ made its ‘cross-landing’ will be named ‘Tiranga’.
