PM Modi Addresses Women’s Rally in West Bengal highlighting Infrastructure Achievements

Shortly after inaugurating the first underwater metro, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address an all-women’s rally in West Bengal’s Barasat, North 24 Parganas on March 6, Wednesday. During his address, PM Modi highlighted the infrastructure achievements, stating that while only a 28-kilometer route of the Kolkata Metro was built before 2014, an additional 31-kilometer route was constructed in the last decade, emphasizing the government’s focus on modernizing public transportation.

In his speech, PM Modi also took a swipe at the Congress-led INDIA bloc, suggesting that they are concerned about the growing influence of the NDA government. Responding to criticism regarding his family background, he countered by affirming the attendees of the rally as his family.

This visit marks Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s second trip to West Bengal this month. Earlier in the day, he inaugurated and traveled on the first underwater metro at Kolkata’s Esplanade Metro station. Presently, he is engaged in addressing a women’s rally in Barasat, where he is expected to meet with the victims of Sandeshkhali.
