Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently explored snorkelling during his visit to Lakshadweep, India’s smallest Union Territory. Sharing captivating images of coral reefs and marine life, he encouraged adventure enthusiasts to include Lakshadweep in their bucket list. Modi expressed the exhilaration of his own snorkelling experience, highlighting the island’s scenic beauty and tranquil atmosphere.
Reflecting on his stay, Modi emphasized how Lakshadweep’s serenity provided him with a chance to contemplate working even harder for the welfare of India’s 140 crore citizens. The Prime Minister also shared images from his morning walks along the pristine beaches, appreciating the overall beauty of the region.
Snorkeling, a surface-level swimming activity with a mask and breathing tube, allows participants to enjoy underwater views without deep diving. Notably, this isn’t the first time the world has witnessed Modi’s adventurous side. In 2019, he appeared on Discovery channel’s ‘Man vs Wild’ with Bear Grylls, showcasing a contrasting image of the usually composed leader navigating the untamed wilderness of Corbett National Park.
Grylls, in an interview, commended Modi’s humility during the challenging expedition. Despite relentless rain, Modi’s calm demeanour and readiness to face obstacles left a lasting impression. The adventure included a makeshift raft crossing a river, where Grylls praised Modi’s resilience and smiled through the rain.
In response to Grylls’ concerns about potential dangers, Modi emphasized the importance of cooperating with nature rather than viewing it as a danger zone. The Prime Minister’s willingness to embrace adventure and face challenges reflects his resilient and humble approach to leadership.
