PM Modi Files Nomination in Varanasi today

Today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi submitted his candidacy for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, accompanied by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath. Seeking his third consecutive victory in Varanasi, PM Modi first secured the seat in 2014.

Before formalizing his candidacy, PM Modi participated in religious rituals, including prayers and an aarti ceremony at Dashwamedh Ghat. He then embarked on a cruise to Namo Ghat, proceeding to the Kaal Bhairav temple for further prayers. The event saw the presence of prominent BJP figures, such as Union Minister Amit Shah and the party’s national president, JP Nadda, gathering at the collectorate for the nomination process.

Additionally, representatives from the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) were also in attendance. Varanasi is scheduled for voting in the seventh and final phase of the Lok Sabha elections on June 1st.
