Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday addressed the inaugural session of the ‘Journey towards Developed India: Conference after Union Budget 2024-25’. In his address, PM Modi said about the country that investors from all over the world are eagerly looking towards India and the domestic industry should come forward and take advantage of this ‘golden opportunity’ and play its role in achieving the goal of developed India by 2047.
Addressing the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) post-budget conference on the theme ‘Journey towards Developed India’, the Prime Minister said that the Modi government does not lack political will and will take all decisions keeping in mind the ‘nation first approach’. He said that India is growing at the rate of eight percent and the day is not far when the country will become the third largest economy in the world.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this feat of becoming the third largest economy will be achieved in his third term. He mentioned the various measures announced in the budget, especially those promoting the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector, which generates crores of employment opportunities.
PM Modi said that today the whole world is looking towards India and you. The policies, commitment and investments of the government are becoming the foundation of global growth. Investors from all over the world are keen to come to India. World leaders are positive about India. This is a golden opportunity for Indian industry and we should not miss this opportunity. He further said that the domestic industry should work with the government to make India a developed nation by 2047 and also make it a global player in emerging sectors.
The Prime Minister said, ‘The intention and commitment of the government is clear. Whether it is nation first or becoming a 5000 billion US dollar economy, self-reliant India… developed India… we are working with full dedication.’
