Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Kerala on Saturday morning to assess the damage caused by recent landslides in Wayanad. During his visit, he is scheduled to meet with victims, visit relief camps, and inspect local hospitals.
Upon arrival, PM Modi conducted an aerial survey of the affected regions, accompanied by Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The Prime Minister’s inspection focused on severely impacted areas, including Punchirimattam, Mundakkai, and Choorlamalla.
The landslides, triggered by heavy rains on July 30, resulted in over 400 fatalities. PM Modi’s visit aims to address the ongoing crisis and provide support to the affected communities.
